This category includes air-dry and bake coatings, formulated to meet specific customer requirements for durability, corrosion resistance, friction resistance, chemical resistance, and more.
Wood Coatings
Johnson Coating manufactures wood finishing materials across a range of technologies. Traditional solvent-based products — built on nitrocellulose, butyrate, and acrylic chemistry — include stains, sanding sealers, lacquers, basecoats, enamels, toners, glazes, and thinners. Our water-based stains, sealers, and lacquers, including a popular 2-in-1 stain-and-lacquer system, are fast drying, sandable within 10 minutes, and deliver excellent clarity with a smooth appearance.
Plastic Coatings
Johnson Coating manufactures coating materials for the plastic parts industry, with specialized chemistries developed over years of experience. We work with everyday plastics including ABS, ABS/PC, Nylon, GRP, Polyester, RIM, RRIM, TPO, PP, and EPDM. Our products — adhesion promoters, primers, mono-coats, and topcoats — are often custom formulated to meet the interior and exterior performance requirements of specific parts.
Specialty Coatings
